Job Description


As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, document activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, hangar areas, parking lots, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Control access through security-related checkpoints by checking identification, verifying visitor authorization, logging entries and/or exits, and directing traffic as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
  • Operate security-related systems and tools such as radios, cameras, and alarm panels, and complete shift reports and patrol documentation per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
