Job Description


As a Security Officer - Pharmaceutical Company in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick response to concerns, and professional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter doors to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, with working conditions varying by assignment.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to on-site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
