As a Security Officer - Unarmed Access Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage gate and visitor access, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or entrances by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor passes as required, and directing traffic to designated areas.
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarms, and/or other access systems; document activity and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to on-site management and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffs/pepper spray/baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
