Job Description


As a Security Officer - Campus Foot Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and provide customer-focused communication for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and protocols at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flows, checking identification and/or credentials as required and directing individuals to appropriate check-in and screening processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications, documenting details, and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate key observations during shift turnovers, and use security-related systems such as radios, phones, and electronic reporting tools as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
