Job Description


As a Security Officer Hospital Rover Rounds in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and/or medical facility notifications, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas including floors, common spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, assist with directing foot traffic, and report concerns such as suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and/or unauthorized persons.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and coordinate with site representatives and/or public responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This post is located at a hospital site with vaccines.
  • This post is located at a hospital site with a morgue.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
