As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm communication, document observations, and deliver customer service that supports tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed, and following post orders.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, surveillance systems, and building automation alerts when assigned, and communicate observed issues to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and participate in shift briefings and/or post inspections as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
