As a Security Officer - SOC Alarm Dispatch PT in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor cameras, alarms, and access activity, triage calls for service, and coordinate officer response to security-related events. You will support badge and visitor processes, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site partners. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor alarms, access control activity, CCTV feeds, and other security-related systems; dispatch officers and/or appropriate responders based on established protocols.
  • Receive and triage calls for service, prioritize requests, and coordinate radio and phone communications to support timely response to incidents and critical situations.
  • Document incidents, dispatch actions, and notifications in logs and reports; escalate issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, helping to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns and report findings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR have a college degree.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
