Job Description


As a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and vendors, supporting a welcoming lobby experience while helping manage access control, visitor logs, and security-related calls for service. You will monitor building systems and alarms, communicate clearly during incidents, and document activity with accuracy. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the building lobby by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and/or access credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests according to site procedures.
  • Answer and route incoming calls, manage visitor and delivery logs, and support administrative front desk tasks such as key control and badge tracking as required by post orders.
  • Monitor building systems such as cameras and alarm panels as assigned, report irregular activity, and coordinate with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete written reports, and communicate updates to supervisors and on-site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
