Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Overnights in North Liberty, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor processes. You will conduct routine rounds, document activity, and communicate clearly to help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, managing employee and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining required access logs.
  • Monitor gates, doors, and credential systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, and report maintenance and/or access issues through established communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the exterior perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
