Job Description


As a Security Officer - Front Reception Desk in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, supporting a welcoming lobby experience while managing access control, visitor check-in, and badge verification. You will monitor activity through cameras and building systems, document incidents, and communicate clearly with property staff. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements.
  • Monitor lobby activity, CCTV, alarms, and building systems as assigned, reporting suspicious or unusual activity to site management and/or local authorities per post orders to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Receive, screen, and direct visitors; issue visitor badges and/or credentials as required; manage sign-in logs and maintain a professional presence in a commercial property setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive behavior, and property-related concerns, and complete timely incident documentation.
  • Coordinate with property management and building engineers during emergency response activities such as evacuations, fire alarms, and/or shelter-in-place procedures, and communicate status updates to appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
