Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Sentinel in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover designated routes, respond to calls for service, and support personnel and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete routine security-related reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident details, and maintenance concerns observed during rounds.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3+ year military police or corrections officer or armed security or certified law enforcement graduate experience.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
