You will monitor entry points, document activity, and communicate issues to site contacts to help reduce incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to authorized areas.
  • Monitor and document entry and exit activity at access points, help to deter unauthorized access, and escalate irregular activity according to post orders and client requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, policy violations, and requests for assistance, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observe for security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and equipment issues, and report findings.
  • Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and other required logs accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 6 months+ armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have a California weapons permit w/ 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
