As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will spend much of your shift on the move, completing vehicle and foot patrols, checking key areas, and responding to alarms and service requests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements. Bring strong communication and customer service while you help keep daily operations running smoothly with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government transportation facilities, grounds, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, directing visitors and/or contractors, and documenting entries and exits according to post orders.
• Complete security-related reports, incident documentation and shift logs, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
