Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location as an armed patrol officer, helping support a welcoming shopping experience through high-visibility rounds, responsive incident assistance, and clear customer communication. You will watch for security-related concerns, help to deter issues through presence, and document activity with professionalism and integrity. This post requires a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy requirements and a Level III armed certification in Texas.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patrons, tenants, and client representatives while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances and exits, loading areas, and parking lots to help reduce the likelihood of theft, vandalism, and other disruptive activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store management and local law enforcement when needed.
  • Monitor for suspicious or prohibited activity, support access control as assigned, and assist with queue and crowd management during peak shopping periods and/or special events.
  • Complete written reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and maintain required equipment and assigned issued gear in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
