Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour - Weekly Pay

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry when assigned, helping to maintain orderly movement of employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
