What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate contacts per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and common areas for compliance with posted rules, reporting maintenance or operational concerns through the proper channels.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
