Job Description


As a Security Officer - Roving Rounds in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will deliver helpful customer service while documenting observations and coordinating with site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at utility locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas, checking gates, doors, and equipment areas for unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying credentials, directing arrivals to designated areas, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs per site procedures.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate shift updates during post handoff, and use radios, phones, and/or electronic reporting systems to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Have a CPR certification preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
