As a Security Officer - Entry Control in WINCHESTER, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will support access control by greeting visitors, verifying identification and badges, logging entries, and helping manage deliveries and contractor check-ins. You will also conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Bring a people-first mindset, teamwork, and integrity as you use computers and/or tablets to document activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, employee entrances, and/or receiving areas, communicating directions and site rules in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, dock areas, and common spaces for unusual conditions. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
