As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct high-visibility rounds and mobile patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns, support store teams, and assist guests with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and respond to incidents while acting with integrity and teamwork. This role requires Level III Armed Certification and a valid driver's license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter, watching for suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter loss and/or unwanted behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed, and assisting with scene control until relieved.
  • Control access to restricted areas and support store operations by monitoring entrances, observing retail floor activity, and coordinating with management on security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, preserve evidence when applicable, and maintain all required qualifications and compliance for carrying a firearm and related equipment while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
