As a Security Officer - Part-Time Badge Screener Driver in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome drivers and team members, verify credentials, screen people and property at checkpoints, and document activity using site systems. You will stay visible to help to deter security-related issues, communicate clearly with operations, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and deliveries using designated screening methods, verify identification and access authorization, and document access activity per post orders.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for warehouses, docks, and yard areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate access issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete detailed incident reports, and coordinate with onsite management and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, and perimeter, watch for unusual conditions, and report hazards, damage, or policy violations through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
