Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Lillington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns to help support a calm, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will document observations, communicate clearly with hospital teams, and provide customer-focused assistance while helping to discourage incidents. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a professional, integrity-first mindset aligned with Allied Universal values.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity while remaining approachable and professional.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, unauthorized access, and medical facility alerts, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and coordinate with onsite staff and local emergency services when directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
