Job Description


As a Security Officer - Roving Site Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge procedures, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and coordinating communication with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and wayfinding, and help to support controlled access practices in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol findings accurately using required reporting systems, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
