As a Security Officer - Flex Judicial Screener in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be a visible presence at key entry points, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and supporting orderly access. You will conduct routine screening, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and the public. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work as a team, put people first, and act with integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific access control and security-related screening procedures at a government location.
  • Screen individuals and belongings at entry points using approved methods and screening equipment, verifying identification and directing authorized visitors to the proper destination.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain screening post readiness by monitoring queues, controlling entry flow, documenting required logs, and communicating screening instructions in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter when required, watching for unusual activity and reporting observations per site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Must have a guard card
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
