As a Security Officer - Lobby Screening in Willington, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, support access control, and perform screening and inspection steps that help identify prohibited items and reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document activity while partnering with site leaders and local responders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to client staff, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and vendors for authorized access by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or access lists, and directing traffic flow through designated entry points.
• Conduct screening of bags, parcels, and/or vehicles as required by post orders, and report prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations through the established chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with crowd control as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, staging areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft, and complete required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
