Job Description


As a Security Officer - Driver Checkpoint in CARMEL, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a resort setting, you will manage access control points, greet guests and staff, verify credentials, and help maintain smooth entry and exit flow. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting patrol-style rounds across the property and quick response to security-related concerns. You will deliver customer-focused service while working with a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific access control policies at a hotel and resort location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing deliveries, rideshare, and service providers to approved areas.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and CCTV as assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest issues, lost and found matters, trespass concerns, and medical calls, and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, back-of-house corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support order on property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
