As an armed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, observe for unusual activity, support access control, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document security-related events. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading points, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and document deliveries, vehicle traffic, and/or restricted-area access in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical incidents, and/or hazardous material related notifications, and coordinate with site leadership and public emergency responders as directed.
• Complete thorough reports on shift activities, patrol findings, incidents, and/or use-of-force related observations, and maintain required training, certifications, and equipment checks for armed post readiness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
