Job Description


As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Driver in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing courteous customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage and quick response. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative team, leading with care, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government transportation facilities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and direct guests and deliveries to appropriate locations in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Complete timely incident reports, patrol logs, and dispatch communications, and/or assist local authorities and site management with security-related investigations as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
