What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity, potential threats, and/or unusual conditions; document observations in detailed incident reports and maintain required logs.
  • Coordinate with site representatives and local law enforcement partners as needed; maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific use-of-force and reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
