As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Salinas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location in Central California. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, collaborate with site staff and teammates, and deliver professional customer service while living our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate parties.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned by post orders.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Complete detailed reports and logs regarding patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
