Job Description


As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns for patients, visitors, and staff. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to requests, document observations, and provide calm, respectful customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and emergency response procedures as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or medical facility calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local responders when needed.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, assisting with visitor check-in directions and/or badge processes, and reporting unauthorized access concerns to site leadership.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs for security-related incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
