Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, where you will patrol assigned areas, monitor for security-related concerns, and stay highly visible to help reduce incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate clearly during routine and urgent situations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility alerts, disturbances, and/or unauthorized persons, and request additional support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring for security-related concerns, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations in a professional manner.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
