As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Agent in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related issues. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and support employees and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech and media location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized entry, assist with visitor management processes, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete detailed reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
