As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, and you will support access control, respond to requests, and deliver clear communication and customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology operations location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, server areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions and report concerns.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and visitor logs; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate check-in processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuation routes, medical calls, and/or coordination with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, communicate shift activity to the next officer and/or site leadership, and assist with policy compliance observations for security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
