Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control activity as needed. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, offices, ATM areas, and the exterior perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow by observing entrances, verifying authorization as required by post orders, and reporting suspicious activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, suspicious persons, and medical situations, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers to support consistent security-related coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
