Job Description


As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to questions and concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. You will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, labs, data and telecom areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor cameras, badge access points, and entry and exit areas, assisting with visitor processing, deliveries, and contractor check-in and/or escort requirements per site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, patrol observations, and incidents, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
