As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driving Role in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with strong communication and customer service. This is an armed post requiring Level III Armed Certification and a valid driver’s license, offering a fast-paced environment where teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture come first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior shopping areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and local law enforcement as needed.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for security-related concerns, and document events through accurate reports and required logs.
• Carry and handle assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and use-of-force guidelines, including weapon retention and secure storage as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
