As a Security Guard - Unarmed - Campus Site in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading education location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will greet students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, share clear updates, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and parking locations, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry points, badge access areas, and visitor sign-in processes, helping to manage authorized access and directing visitors to appropriate campus resources.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs, and participate in briefings and/or drills related to campus procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
