Job Description


As a Security Officer - Trauma Wing Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance, disturbances, and/or medical facility-related escalations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Document routine and unusual activity by completing reports, logging patrol activity, and communicating observations and/or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital environment with vaccines.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
