Job Description


As a Security Officer - ID Screening in Richmond Hill, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points by screening visitors and team members, verifying credentials, and supporting access control and badge processes. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document security-related observations while working closely with operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen incoming personnel and/or deliveries by verifying identification, credentials, visitor logs, and authorized access lists prior to entry.
  • Perform security-related screening of packages, personal items, and/or vehicles as required by site procedures, documenting findings and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting policy violations, medical events, and/or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, alarms, and/or camera systems as assigned, completing required reports and communicating notable activity to Allied Universal management and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
