As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support site operations through clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to facility personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and process incoming and outgoing traffic, including verifying identification and logging visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to Allied Universal management and site leadership as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and/or monitor cameras and alarms when assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 or more years of security experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
