As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and guiding employees, drivers, and visitors through entry procedures. You will complete routine patrols, assist with X-ray screening as needed, and document security-related activity while providing professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Operate the access control post by greeting and screening employees, visitors, and drivers; verifying identification and/or appointments; issuing temporary credentials; and directing traffic to the appropriate dock, yard, or office area.
• Control entry and exit for vehicles and pedestrians by monitoring gates, doors, and barrier systems; checking trailer and seal information when assigned; and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to look for security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and document findings in daily activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
