As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate for a healthcare-related location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and/or alarms, and notify the appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, corridors, offices, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, elevators, and other key areas, verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs per site policy.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in daily reports, including completion of required checklists and timely communication with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
