As a Security Guard - Lobby Access Desk in Rye, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a residential location, you will manage access control at entry points, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs using a computer and/or tablet. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a residential location.
  • Manage access control at assigned entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized persons to the appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with resident-related concerns and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, monitor alarms and/or camera systems when assigned, and communicate observations and updates to Allied Universal leadership and on-site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
