As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government healthcare location supporting vaccination services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will greet patients and staff, provide clear directions, respond to concerns, and document observations. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork and act with integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining documentation per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and service calls, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers and/or with site stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position is in a hospital setting where vaccines are required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
