Job Description


As a Security Officer- Unarmed Driver Patrol in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points and respond to calls for service while delivering professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and restricted areas, verifying authorization when required, and assisting with visitor directions and/or wayfinding.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
