As a Security Guard - Part-Time Patrol Rover in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, report observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data facility.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry by checking identification, processing visitor sign-in and/or escort procedures, and directing guests, vendors, and deliveries according to site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting onsite contacts and/or emergency services as required and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and pass-down communications using written logs and/or electronic systems, and communicate observations to client contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
