As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate concerns clearly, and document observations. You will support a caring culture that puts people first, delivering through teamwork while acting with integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic areas, and perimeter gates, noting and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points during arrival, dismissal, and special events, helping to verify visitor check-in and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting staff with de-escalation and requesting additional resources when needed.
  • Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
