As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Financial Institutions in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points, observe for irregular conditions, and verify that doors, gates, and other entry points are secured according to site-specific requirements.
• Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
