As a Security Officer - Flex Badge Desk Driver in Garland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and drivers, manage entry and exit points, verify badges and credentials, and document security-related activity using site technology. You will conduct routine patrols around designated areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and support a smooth flow of deliveries. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control at a logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Control vehicle and trailer entry and/or exit at gates and dock areas by confirming appointments or documentation, directing traffic flow to designated staging areas, and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and communication channels; document observations and complete incident reports as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
