As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location as a Screener, where you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff, help manage entry points, and support access control and badge processes. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and use basic technology to document activity and report concerns, helping to reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Operate the entry screening post by greeting patients, visitors, and staff, confirming access requirements, and conducting security-related screening such as bag checks and walkthrough screening as required by site policy.
  • Monitor entry points and nearby public areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or prohibited items, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports and screening logs, and communicate observations and policy concerns to the supervisor and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
